Findly collects minimal information to provide our text and object detection services:
- Photos and Camera Access: We access your photos and camera only when you choose to use our text detection features. All image processing happens locally on your device. We do not store, transmit, or share your photos.
- Usage Information: We track the number of searches you perform to enforce the free tier limit (15 searches per month for free users).
- Purchase Information: If you subscribe to Findly Premium, Apple processes and stores your subscription information through the App Store.
- Advertising Data (Free Users Only): We use Google AdMob to display advertisements to free users. AdMob may collect device identifiers, location data, and usage information for advertising purposes. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for more information about how AdMob handles data.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide text and object detection services
- To track usage limits for free tier users
- To process subscription payments (handled by Apple)
- To display relevant advertisements to free users (handled by AdMob)
Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties, except:
- Apple: Subscription and payment information is processed through Apple's App Store
- Google AdMob: Advertising data for free users is shared with AdMob for ad personalization
- Object Detection Service: When you use the OWL (object detection) feature, images are processed through our third-party object detection service. Images are not stored after processing.
Your Choices
- Camera and Photos: You can revoke camera and photo access at any time in your device Settings
- Advertising Tracking: You can limit ad tracking through your device's privacy settings
- Premium Subscription: Subscribe to Findly Premium to remove ads and gain unlimited searches
Data Security
All image processing happens locally on your device. We do not store your photos on our servers. Usage and subscription data is protected using industry-standard security measures.
Children's Privacy
Findly is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

By downloading and using Findly, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Description of Service
Findly is a mobile application that provides text detection and object detection services using your device's camera and photo library.
Free Tier and Premium Subscription
- Free Tier: Users receive 15 free searches per month with advertisements
- Premium Subscription: $0.99/month for unlimited searches, object detection (beta), and ad-free experience
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Subscriptions can be managed and canceled in your App Store account settings
- No refunds for partial months
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Findly only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use the app to violate any laws or regulations
- Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the app
- Use the app to infringe on others' intellectual property rights
- Abuse or overload our services
Beta Features
Object detection (OWL mode) is provided as a beta feature. Beta features may be unstable, incomplete, or subject to change without notice.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Findly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that text/object detection will always be accurate.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Findly.
Intellectual Property
Findly and its content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which we operate.
Apple Terms
This app is available through the Apple App Store and subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). In the event of conflict, Apple's EULA takes precedence.
